    Overview: The CPR Healthcare Provider course follows the American Heart Association's BLS Healthcare Provider course, designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.  

    Course Length: 8hrs | CFR Reference: 29 CFR 1910.151 | Course Required By: All Healthcare Providers requiring CPR certification.

    Course Objectives: Upon completion of this CPR Healthcare Provider training, the student will be familiar with:
    • The basic steps of CPR for adults, children, and infants
    • Demonstrate the basic steps of CPR for adults, children, and infants
    • Perform rescue breathing for adults, children and infants
    • Administer breaths using a bag-valve mask device and pocket face mask
    • Perform CPR as a lone rescuer or as part of a two-rescuer team
    • Demonstrate the appropriate procedure and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
    Written Exam: AHA requires a minimum written score of 85% to receive a course completion card. 

    Retraining: Every two years.
