  • CPR Healthcare Provider Refresher
     
    Overview: The CPR Healthcare Provider Refresher course is intended for "recertification" in American Heart Association's Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. In addition, any updates issued by the America Heart Association will be made available to the student and the student will be trained accordingly.  

    Course Length: 4hrs | CFR Reference: 29 CFR 1910.151 | Course Required By: American Heart Association for recertification

    Course Objectives: Upon completion of CPR Healthcare Provider Refresher training, the student will be familiar with:
    • Recall the basic steps of CPR for adults, children, and infants
    • Demonstrate the basic steps of CPR for adults, children and infants
    • Perform rescue breathing for adults, children and infants
    • Administer breaths using a bag-valve mask device and pocket face mask
    • Perform CPR as a lone rescuer or as part of a two-rescuer team
    • Demonstrate the appropriate procedure and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
    Prerequisites: American Heart Association's BLS Healthcare Provider Certification

    Written Exam: AHA requires a minimum written score of 85% to receive a course completion card. 

    Retraining: Every two years.
