Safety Technician Safety Technician Position Shift: 7/7, 14/7, and 14/14 Works 12-18 hours per day The Safety Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient, reliable, and enviromentally compliant operation of assigned area. Employee's key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Job Description 1. Working on drilling and production platforms on land and offshore environments · Commuting long distances in vehicle · Commuting to offshore platform via helicopter or crew boat · Transferring on a personnel basket or rope swing from vessel to platform on an occasional basis 2. Administrative duties · Logistics coordination · Telephone communication · Clerical duties · Various computer tasks 3. Monitoring contractors · Ensure understanding of and compliance with MMS and client policies · Follow all regulation and guidelines of SMS, MMS, USCG, OSHA and contractor 4. Safety procedures · Conducting safety meetings · Auditing job safety analyses and permits (JSA) · Tracking items on Safety Technician reports · Identifying safety hazards and providing interventions to eliminate or reduce hazards · Tracking behavior-based safety procedures 5.
