Overview: This is a knowledge based training program. This training provides information about the design, application, and use of signs or symbols intended to indicate and define specific hazards in the workplace. This training follows Federal guidelines for specification of accident prevention signs and tags issued under the general industry standard 29 CFR 1910.145.
Course Length: 2 hours
Course Objectives: Upon completion of this training the student will be familiar with:
- Specifications applicable to the design of signs, symbols, and tags
- The use of signs, symbols, and tags
- The colors of signs, symbols, and tags in reference to hazard warning status of a nature that failure to recognize them may lead to accidental injury

Written Exam: Written and hands on competency will be evaluated at the end of each course. Incorrectly answered questions will be reviewed with student to ensure understanding before completion of course.
