SMS’s Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) has developed a system based on the CDC and World Health Organization guidance for essential and critical facility cleaning and disinfection. Our team is continuing to adapt and modify our methods to align with the most current standards set by both the CDC and the World Health Organization.
SMS is accomplished in the quality control and oversight of disinfecting essential and critical facilities. Real-time documentation is provided of the cleaning method’s effectiveness using a bioluminescence reaction to measure the Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) on a surface. The assessment of ATP levels allows for a numerical evaluation that can show the level of organic materials on a surface after pre-cleaning, which is instrumental in the disinfection of contaminated surfaces.
The same technology is used by most US hospitals and facilities across the United Kingdom and Europe. It has also been the industry standard for food and beverage processors for decades.
