Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Refresher
Overview
The NREMT EMT Refresher program is designed to refresh cognitive and psychomotor lifesaving skills for EMTs.
Course Objectives
NREMT’s National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) indicates a total of 40 hours of continuing education are required to recertify.
This course will satisfy the:
- National Continued Competency Requirements (NCCR) – 20 hours,
- Local Continued Competency Requirements (LCCR) – 10 hours, and
- Individual Continued Competency Requirements (ICCR) – 10 hours
Additional Information
Course Length: 40 hrs
Course Required By: National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians; Louisiana Bureau of Emergency Medical Services for recertification
Prerequisites: Current NREMT EMT certification
Practical Exam:
Competency in EMT Skills must be demonstrated to successfully complete this course.
Retraining: Bi-annually as per National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) Standards
