Congratulations to our SMS Standout Brent Long. Brent evacuated a patient to a hospital by SAR flight and the platform equipment that the patient was secured to was never picked up from the hospital by a contract representative. Before traveling home from his shift, Brent stopped at the hospital and he collected, inspected, and cleaned the transport equipment. Then, he transported the equipment to the local helibase and made arrangements, with the contracting company, to have the equipment sent to the boat dock to catch the next supply boat to his facility. The transport equipment was delivered safely to the platform and because of Brent’s efforts, this saved the contracting company from having to purchase replacement equipment.
