Billing Specialist II April Arceneaux has been recently nominated by Operations Supervisor Leighton Guilbeau for excellent performance and quality of work. We sat down with April to get a glimpse into what her day is like.
AC: Describe a typical day at work.
AA: My day usually starts by checking emails and verifying time sheets to ensure safety tech/medic time is correct for payroll.
AC: What was the best vacation you have ever taken?
AA: Disney World!
AC: Describe yourself in one sentence.
AA: I am a hardworking, honest person and I am always willing to help.
AC: What is your favorite thing about your job?
AA: My favorite thing about my job is the variety of my daily responsibilities – I learn something new everyday. Also, I am part of a GREAT team!!
AC: What food could you live on for a month?
AA: Boiled crawfish
AC: Do you have a side hustle, hobby or volunteer group that you’re involved in outside of work? What else do you spend your time doing?
AA: My hobbies currently revolve around my children and whatever they are involved in – we are always out and about on a new adventure!
AC: How do you stay motivated at work?
AA: I absolutely love my job, so motivation comes easy.
AC: What has been the most fulfilling moment in your career so far?
AA: My most fulfilling moment has to be the great relationships I have formed over the last 8 years with both coworkers and customers.

AA: Natalie Portman
AC: Tell us about a moment that changed your life.
AA: The birth of my two children.
AC: What would be your advice for future [safety professionals]?
AA: Do what you love, and you’ll never work another day in your life.
AC: What is your favorite activity outside of work?
AA: My children and I enjoy movies at the theater and spending time at the park.

AA: The best advice I was ever given is very simple – Tomorrow is a new day!!
