Congratulations to our SMS Standout Hannah Credeur. Hannah is being recognized for her dedication to the case management team. Hannah took it upon herself to help on another contract without asking if she needed to help. She is always willing to help her team accomplish all tasks at hand and always has a can-do attitude. Thank you for being a team player, Hannah!

We were able to get a glimpse into what a day at work looks like for Hannah and learn some fun facts about her.

A.A. Describe a typical day at work.

H.C. My typical day at work consists of telling others they can’t go to work.

A.A. What was the best vacation you have ever taken?

H.C. My favorite vacation that I ever took was camping in Arkansas with my daughter and husband. We rented a boat and explored the many small islands dotting Lake Ouachita. We also hiked several trails and saw a small waterfall.

A.A. Describe yourself in one sentence.

H.C. I couldn’t answer this one so I asked my supervisor Fred. He said “humble, disciplined, and I do my work.” Let’s go with that.

A.A. What is your favorite thing about your job?

H.C. I like that I can provide support and guidance to those who are not feeling well and need a listening ear. I also love my coworkers and my supervisor. They have become like a second family to me.

A.A. What food could you live on for a month?

H.C. It depends. Can I cook it, however, I want to? If so, chicken and potatoes.

A.A. Do you have a side hustle, hobby, or volunteer group that you’re involved in outside of work? What else do you spend your time doing?

H.C. Outside of work? Is that a thing? Just kidding. I enjoy baking and reading, and I am involved in my local church.

A.A. How do you stay motivated at work?

H.C. Colossians 3:22-24 (ESV) 22 Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

A.A What has been the most fulfilling moment in your career so far?

H.C. There was a case where I was able to assist someone in getting the emergency care needed. They later came back and thanked me and said “If it had not been for you, I would not have gone.” It made me realize that the rapport we build with those in case management is vital to success as a case manager.

A.A. Who would play you in a movie?

H.C. Robin Williams as Mrs. Doubtfire or Kathy Bates as the Waterboy’s Mama.

A.A. Tell us about a moment that changed your life.

H.C. I am sure it sounds cliché, but the moment that changed my life was when my daughter Lilly was born.

A.A. What would be your advice for future [safety professionals]?

H.C. Be compassionate. The people you are encountering are already in vulnerable positions. A little compassion goes a long way.

A.A. What is your favorite activity outside of work?

H.C. Cooking for family and friends and playing games/cards.

A.A. Name one book that inspired you professionally.

H.C. The Bible.

A.A. Which talent or superpower would you most like to have and why?

H.C. Let’s circle back on that.

A.A. What was the best advice you were ever given?

H.C. Don’t follow the advice of someone who doesn’t have what you want in your own life.

A.A. Do you have a bucket list? What are the top 3 things on it?

H.C.

  1. Visit Ireland.
  2. Learn how to become self-sustainable.
  3. Make an impact in the ministry of the church.

A.A. Do you have any pets? What are their names?

H.C. We have two yard cats, Smoky and Lite-Brite (like the toy). We also have a “trash cat” (possum) that frequents my carport pretty often to feast. I call him George but he doesn’t answer to it.

A.A. A penguin walks through the door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he here?

H.C. I have COVID-19 like symptoms. Can I go back to work today? (a little case manager humor)
